Foreword

Greetings from Swabodhini!

November was fabulous making our Swabodhini family proud with our beloved alumnus Mr Ajay Krishna, recently placed in Prodapt receiving the “Phoenix Award” instituted by the Rotary Club of Madras T.Nagar for emerging successfully in his career despite his challenges.

We are happy to share that our interns of the Popcorn manufacturing unit received their first stipend from Mr.Tarun Mahadevan, Director, Advantage Foods India Pvt Ltd and Ms.Usha, Country Head, Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd. Ms.Krithika,(Manager-Sustainability) and Ms.Apoorva, (Manager-CSR) from Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd were also present during the occasion.

Children of all three centres of Swabodhini participated in the ROTA Talent contest and DDAWO Sports Meet and won prizes. Seven of our students pursuing vocational courses attended a job fair conducted by the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation.

Ms. Samyuktha Bhaskaran, Director, Oracle Corporation Chennai visited our Thiruvanmiyur and Velachery centres and interacted with our children. A team of dignitaries from Refex visited our Velachery campus and witnessed our students in action.

The Phoenix Award

We are very proud to share that our alumnus Mr. Ajay Krishna won “The Phoenix Award” instituted by Rotary Club of Madras T.Nagar. He has recently been placed in a leading IT company in Chennai in their Admin Services Department.
