March 2023 Newsletter
Foreword
Greetings from Swabodhini !
March started off with intensive practice gearing up for our School’s Annual Day – A day students and staff alike look forward to every year. Students staged a lively show- much to the admiration of all gathered there. Mr.Ramkumar Ramamoorthy, who has served as the Chairman and Managing Director, India in Cognizant was our chief guest.
Having placed many of our students in prestigious companies, we were also constantly looking for assisted employment opportunities within our campus – for students with multiple challenges who are not in a position to take up open employment. One such initiative is our popcorn manufacturing unit. We are happy and proud to share that we inaugurated this unit on March 18th 2023, partnering with Advantage Foods Pvt Ltd in association with Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd. Five of our students along with two staff members were trained in making caramel popcorn.
Mr.Ashish Mohan, Chief Financial Officer, and Mr.Shakthi from AGS Health visited us and interacted with the students. We also had visitors from Bambino Trust and Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd.
We had student visits from Saveetha Medical College and employees from Byju’s engaging our students in arts and games in commemoration of “World Down Syndrome Day” and “World Autism Day”.
Meet you with new updates next month!
