Foreword
Greetings from Swabodhini!
The month of July was vibrant with the setting up of a third centre of Swabodhini in association with the Chennai Port and Dock Educational Trust at Tondiarpet . An assessment camp was held in this regard at Chennai Port and Dock Educational Trust Higher Secondary School on the 2nd of July. Having had a good response, it was decided to start a full fledged school for children with special needs in North Chennai, catering to all their therapy and educational needs.
Swabodhini proudly presented its employment model in the stakeholders workshop conducted by the Department for the Welfare of the Differently Abled persons – TN RIGHTS project.
Mr.Ramamurthy from Kenya, Ln.Kala Sriram and Ln.Annapurna from Chennai Silver Pearls Lions club visited our campus to witness our children in action.
We are happy and proud to share that our vocational student Mr.Ajay Krishna has been appointed as Junior Executive at Prodapt Solutions Pvt Ltd.

Swabodhini School and Vocational Center for Special Children
Assessment Camp At Tondiarpet
On 2nd July, Swabodhini School and Vocational Centre for Special Children and Chennai Port & Dock Educational Trust Higher Secondary School conducted a “Free assessment camp” for children in and around Tondiarpet. 13 students were assessed in this camp and 10 students are ready to join our new centre.
Internship At Writer’s Cafe
Three of our vocational students commenced their internship at Writer’s Cafe. These students are being trained in Culinary skills.
Visitors From Lions Club
On 14th July Ln.Kala Sriram,Secretary and Ln.Annapurana from Chennai Silver Pearls Lions Club visited our Guru Nanak Centre.
Department For Welfare Of The Differently Abled Persons-Tn Rights Project Stakeholders Workshop
On 20th Thursday our Principal Mrs.Nandini Priyakumari and Mrs.Anita Centre Head- Guru Nanak Centre attended the Stakeholders workshop conducted by the Department for Welfare of the Differently Abled Persons-TN Rights Project and presented our employment model.
Visitor From Kenya
Mr. Ramamoorthi, visited our Thiruvanmiyur Centre and had a fruitful discussion on the activities of our school.
Placement At Prodapt
We are proud to share that our vocational student Ajay Krishna has been appointed as Junior Executive at Prodapt Solutions Pvt Ltd.He visited our vocational center along with the Purchase Team of Prodapt.
