August 2023 Newsletter

Foreword

Greetings from Swabodhini!

The month of August started happily with a small pooja for the inception of Swabodhini’s third centre at Tondiarpet. The infrastructure and funding for this project is provided by Chennai Port Trust and Kamarajar Port Ltd respectively. We are gearing up for the formal inauguration soon.

An enthusiastic team of employees from Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd visited our campus. They were taken to the sensory room blindfolded and were subjected to certain activities – for them to personally experience the sensory issues our children face. They got deeper insights into the students’ needs and the therapy given to address the same.

We had visitors from Prodapt, Lions club of Chennai Silver Pearls and Alchemy Kids Theatre to witness our children in action.

Our students set up stalls at Prodapt & Sheraton and received good recognition and encouragement through the sale of their products.

We had a joyful celebration of Independence Day with our students dressed up as our National Leaders, Onam with intricate flower patterns and our monthly Birthday celebrations at all our centres.

Meet you next month with fresh updates!

Best Regards,

Ms Nandini Priyakumari
