Warm greetings from Swabodhini!

June began on a joyful note, with smiling faces returning to school and being warmly welcomed by our dedicated staff—setting the tone for another promising academic year.

All four of our centres actively celebrated International Yoga Day and World Music Day, encouraging participation and joy among our students. Notably, our children enthusiastically took part in NIEPMD’s Mega Inclusive Yoga Day, proudly representing Swabodhini.

Our Director and the Vocational Centre Head attended a key meeting organized by the Government Disability Department, which focused on fostering collaborations between NGO-run vocational schools and prospective employers—an encouraging step toward expanding employment opportunities for our students.

We were also happy to welcome Ms. Sudha and Ms. Heena to our Thiruvanmiyur and Velachery centres. They offered valuable support to enhance the sewing skills of our vocational students.

Additionally, Ms. Malathy, Ms. Lokeshwari, and Ms. Vinolina visited our Thiruvanmiyur centre to observe and appreciate the work we do.

The month concluded on a cheerful note with the celebration of birthdays of students and staff born in June—a tradition that brings us together as a family.
