Foreword 

Greetings from Swabodhini!

January saw students and staff bouncing back to school with full energy and enthusiasm. All three centres were bustling with activity-oriented academics.

A team of three officials from Kamarajar Port Ltd visited our Tondiarpet centre to understand the functioning of the school.

Minus One Music Cafe hosted a live orchestra fundraiser programme at Infosys Hall, T.Nagar in support of our school. Additionally, three of our children had the opportunity to sing on stage during the event.

The Trustees and the Principal held a meeting with the parents of the Tondiarpet centre to orient them on the routine and special activities done during school hours as well as the therapy services and their benefits.

Visitors from IBS Software, Ampera Diversity and General Electric Company visited our school and witnessed our children in action.

Pongal celebration and Helpers’ Day activities enthused our support staff with traditional games and gifts. The month ended joyously with Birthday celebration of staff and children.

Pongal Celebrations

We joyfully celebrated Pongal on 12th January.It was truly pleasant to see all staff members of our three centres dressed traditionally.

Helpers Day Celebrations

Every year we celebrate helpers’ day to motivate and to give rest to all support staff. This year we celebrated helpers day on 12th January. It was nice to see all the support staff happy, energetic and eager to participate in all the fun games organized for them.

Fundraiser concert in support of Swabodhini

Minus One Music Cafe organised a Light Music Fundraiser concert in support of Swabodhini. Over 20 singers belted out some popular old and new numbers and kept the audience entertained on 21st January. Our students also got an opportunity to showcase their musical talent as well. Hema from Thiruvanmiyur branch, Tarun and Balamurgan from Tondiarpet branch participated in this event at Ramakrishna Mission Mat. Hr.Sec.School Chennai.

Parents Meeting at Tondiarpet

On 24th January we had a meeting for parents with the Principal and Trustees.

Mr Damodaran, Ampera Diversity Founder and Mr Sathish Raman , Senior Director Ampera Diversity Pvt. Ltd visited our Guru Nanak Centre on 22nd January and had a fruitful discussion.
